He hasn’t yet signed a final deal for his O.C. Fair appearance Thursday, but a contract for Dylan’s opening act says he’s going to get $325,000, of which about $15,000 would go to his opening performer. Without being too specific about our own finances, that means Dylan will rake in more in one night than Niyaz and I make in more than five years. And a lot of his songs are remakes - what a gip.
We also learned what many of the other acts are getting for a couple hours work. Take a look at these rounded figures and join us in feeling sad about your paycheck.
Daughtry: $175,000
Earth, Wind & Fire: $150,000
Willie Nelson: $125,000
Lynyrd Skynyrd: $100,000
Kenny Loggins: $100,000
Heart: $100,000
“Weird Al” Yancovic: $46,500 per night ($232,500 total)
